Since many of us have had problems with the local off-air stations, it may be helpful to read the thread on the tivo forum about replaceing the tuner cables inside the receiver with new ones.

I haven't done it yet but will be doing it as soon as I can get some RCA compression fittings for RG-59. I'm also going to try bypassing the internal splitter-amp to see if that helps, since I'm currently unable to tune several channels.
