I'm confused now?

I just got a letter from Verizon offering one price for unlimited calling, dsl, and direct tv?
first question
-it says dsl on the letter, not fios (which I STILL can't get)...so how am I going to get direct tv over copper from verizon? I don't think my standard old phone line could handle tv signals?

-if I get fios (one day) is the tv service over that directv or not? I heard at one point before they started the roll out that they would use directv for their service but I haven't heard anything since to make me think they are.

Hi CANDY76MAN,

Its just a package deal between Verizon and DirecTV where you get a discount if you order both. To get DirecTV you still need their dish and receiver and/or DVR installed. It is also not available if you are already a DirecTV customer. I had DirecTV before I switched to FiOS and wanted to get the discount but couldn't.

Once FiOS is available in your area and you switch to it then I would assume the DirecTV discount would go away.
