Turned on the TV this evening, and found no signal from the Component outputs on my Pace HD box. Found that the DVI output was working, though. I unplugged the box for a few minutes, and tried again. Still no Component signal. Went back to DVI, figured I'd have to have the box replaced. Noticed that the sidebars on 4:3 channels were light grey instead of the usual black. I figured it was just a difference on the DVI output. Later, I went into the Setup menu, and discovered I could set the "background color", which adjusts the sidebars. I also noticed several other new options.
Could a firmware update have "broken" the Component outputs of the box? If so, I presume it's going to be fixed? And before you suggest I simply use DVI "because it's better", on my particular TV, the picture actually looked better through the Component output.
