a few weeks ago, i asked for, and people started sending me info on their antenna and reception details. i still plan to make a comprehensive map containing all of this info.
You'll need to explicity send me a note with your details: antenna(s) type, height, STBs, other addons, etc.
thx

I'm in Plant City using a Silver Sensor running through a Sony HD200 box. I can receive the following OTA:
8.1
10.1
13.1
22.1
28.1
32.1
44.1
66.1
For whatever reason I've never been a ble to pull in PBS 3.5. Not sure why... FWIW I also have D* with the HD package and HD HBO and Showtime.

i have a jensen (not sure which model) tv top anternna with the booster.
i live in bradenton and i get fox, nbc, abc, upn,wb,and pax some of the time. usually pax and wb come in great, the others i seem to have to fight with all the time. one more note, i dont use a box.My tv came with integrated hdtv..its a lil more expensive but i like the convienence of not needing a seperat component

I live in Temple Terrace and get pretty good reception with just a set-top Terk bow-tie shaped powered antenna. It’s my roommate’s antenna that he’s had for a few years, so I’m not sure of the model number or price, but it’s similar to the $30 - $40 RCAs, Jensens, etc. I’ve seen at the stores. Channel 38 doesn’t come in very well and FOX comes and goes, but everything else looks just fine for the most part. I also have a Terk TV55 outdoor antenna, but I haven’t been able to put it up yet because it rains every freaking day.
I’ve found that hooking up an extra signal booster to the bow-tie antenna actually makes the reception worse, and using the antennuator (I think that’s what it’s called; it takes the signal down a notch) that came with my Zenith set-top box helps a little bit.

Well I don't know how much DTV reception data from the middle of the state will help you but here goes...
I'm about 45 miles from and about 55 miles from Orlando. My house is very near the top of what passes for a hill here in Florida.
I have 2 ChannelMaster CM4248 (UHF) and 2 Winegard YA17 (VHF-Lo) antennas mounted on a 19' mast setting on my roof. The total height to the top of the mast from the ground is approximately 34'. One pair (UHF & VHF) points at Tampa and the other pair points to Orlando. They're all combined into a single downlead by way of pair 2-1 combiners and then a VHF-Hi - VHF-Lo - UHF combiner. All of the cable is RG6, the connectors are good quality "outdoor" F-connectors and all of the outside connections are booted.
The TV is a Hitachi 43UWX10B (43" 16X9) and the receiver is a Toshiba DST-3000
I receive the following channels. Please note that the number following each channel is the average signal level as reported by my DST-3000. These numbers were recorded about 2 weeks ago on a particularly "good" day for reception. Most of the time they range 10 to 20 points lower.
There are a couple of channels that don't run on a 24x7 schedule. They're not included here. Also excluded are a couple of stations that I simply have NO interest in watching. I.E. spanish language, etc.
I don't receive WTSP (channel 10, CBS) at all. Seems they brodcast on channel 24 and one of the Orlando PBS stations also broadcasts on 24. If someone can tell me how to filter out the Orlando 24 I'll be forever thankful.

I did all of the installation myself. It really wasn't too bad but one of my many previous jobs was installing MATV systems.

I was close to purchasing a huge area map and then superimposing these points onto it... still may do it, but wanted to check the quality of the map before i pulled the trigger.
keep sending in your antenna configs and locations. No need to resend if you already emailed it to me.

Well, I just went down to Best Buy and picked up a Sam 151 and Silver Sensor. So far, I am VERY unimpressed. Can't even pick up NBC or FOX, CBS look just ok.
Is it that I need an external antenna?
I'm going to check the tennis match tonight and then I'm taking it back, at least I've cured my curiosity.
